About ABC Intensive Tuition
ABC Intensive Tuition specialises in teaching people to drive in a short amount of time. ABC is a family run school with over 10 years experience. Our aim is to promote safer driving, therefore our courses are designed on safety rather than teaching you to pass the test. Intensive courses are the quickest route to a full UK driving license.
Intensive course
Intensive or crash courses as they are commonly referred to are the quickest and most successful way to learn to drive. We continually hear people complaining that regular weekly lessons are taking forever and they wish they could just get it over and done with in as short a time as possible. The purpose of our various courses is to deal with this issue and provide you with a solution.
One of the many advantages of an intensive driving course is that you will be learning over a much shorter space of time, therefore making it harder to forget what you are being taught. Your progress will be maintained at a steady pace, as you will be behind the wheel constantly, within the town where you will be sitting your test.
You will receive the undivided attention of your instructor on a 1 to 1 basis for the duration of your course. Unlike some schools where shared tuition is normal, when there may be two or even three pupils in the car at any given time. As long as you reach the required standard, you will sit the test at the end of your course. You do not need to be a perfect driver, we all make mistakes, but you do need to be safe.

Length of course
When you are trying to decide on the length of course which you require, be honest with yourself. There would be no point in booking a 10 or a 20-hour course if you have never driven before. The more hours you take, the more likely you will pass your test at the first attempt. How much is your life worth? The length of the course can be altered during the week. For example if you find you are a complete natural, but have booked a 30 hour course, then this could be reduced to 20 or 25 hours. We aim to be as flexible as possible.
We will meet you
If you are travelling to us then we can meet you at Abergavenny bus station or Abergavenny train station. You will then be dropped off at your choice of accommodation. At the end of the course we will return you to either the bus or train station. Abergavenny train station is approx a 30 minute train journey from Newport. From Newport you can get connecting trains to all major cities.
Vehicles
The current choice of vehicle is the Renault Clio 1.5dci, which is dual, controlled and air-conditioned.
